A Special Partner Letter

APRIL 2025

MAY 2025

Dear Partner and Friend!

As I was reading this passage recently there was something that jumped out at me and I want to share it with you.Ā  I believe it will strengthen and encourage you just as it did for me.

Matt 20:29-34
Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him. And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out ALL THE MORE, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”Ā They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

When the blind men in this passage heard that Jesus was passing by, they determined that they were going to LAY HOLD of the opportunity that they knew was available for them.Ā  Jesus was heading their way.Ā  He was THE WORD and He is THE WORD.Ā  This was their time and they knew it!Ā  And how do we know that?Ā  They cried out!Ā  In other words, they stepped out and went for it!Ā

And just as soon as they cried out and began to move into a receiving posture, then came the voice of the enemy through the multitudes trying to get them to back down.Ā  ā€œBe quiet!ā€ – the multitudes warned them.

But what struck me was their response.Ā  And this is what I want to pass on to you.Ā  The Bible says ā€œthey cried out ALL THE MORE!ā€Ā  In other words, not only did they not become more quiet or back down.Ā  Instead, they did just the opposite!Ā  They cried out ALL THE MORE!

And that’s what I believe the Lord has impressed upon me to share with you, as you have been stepping out in faith to lay hold on God’s Word, His direction, and His promises in specific areas of your life.Ā

Now is NOT the time to give any place to the suggestion that you ought to somehow ā€œtone downā€ and ā€œdial backā€ your intensity.Ā  Instead, rather, turn up your intensity toward the Word and the promises of God, and even do it as the blind men did – do it ALL THE MORE.

ā€œAll the more!ā€
ā€œAll the more!ā€
ā€œAll the more!ā€

That’s what I believe the Spirit of God is saying.Ā  Instead of shrinking back or drawing back, now is the time for us to apply ourselves to Christ’s victory and God’s instructions to us ALL THE MORE.

In other words, rather than ā€œbacking downā€ in any measure, instead ā€œdouble downā€ on whatever God has revealed to you.Ā  Turn up the volume!Ā  And count it all joy!Ā  Ha,ha,ha!Ā  Rather than becoming quiet, instead become even bolder, more deliberate, and more vocal about what God has revealed to you.

This reminds me of what King David said when his wife Michal attempted to mock and ridicule him for the way he shamelessly danced before the presence of the Lord.  David didn’t back down.  He said, ā€œI will be EVEN MORE UNDIGNIFIED than this!ā€  He held his position and doubled-down on what he knew was right and true.

The Book of Hebrews reminds us of who we are NOT, and who we are.Ā  It says, ā€œWe are NOT of those who draw back.Ā  We are NOT of those who shrink back!ā€ (Heb 10:39)Ā

And who are we?Ā

We are those who BELIEVE.
We are those who LAY HOLD.
We are those who RECEIVE all that God has promised and prepared for us.
We are those who through faith and patience (endurance) inherit the promises of God. (Heb 6:12)

As children of God, it’s good to be reminded of the nature of our relationship with God.Ā  Our Father God is forever The Great Giver!Ā  Every good and perfect gift comes from Him! (Jas 1:17)Ā  And as His children, we are forever HIS RECEIVERS.Ā  But more often than not, whether or not we receive from Him can be a matter of what we do when everything around us is telling us to ā€œbe quietā€ and just forget about it.Ā  That’s the very time that we need to apply ourselves to God’s Word to us, and to do it ALL THE MORE.

Friend, the devil wants you to be quiet.Ā  He wants you to shut up, back down, lower your spiritual intensity, and live confined and limited to the thoughts he brings to your mind.Ā  He wants the control.Ā  But we refuse to be controlled!Ā  Too great a price has been paid for our freedom!Ā  Too great a price has been paid for all that God has planned and prepared for each one of us!Ā  Jesus IS Lord.Ā  Satan IS defeated.Ā  All the promises of God ARE yes and amen – and they ARE ours!Ā  We SHALL by all means possess the land that God says is ours!

Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech. — 2 Cor 3:12

As heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, we are now to employ a new brand of speech — BOLD SPEECH.Ā  In light of all that Jesus has made available for us through the gospel and this glorious New Covenant, of which we are all beneficiaries, we now use and utilize what The Bible calls ā€œGREAT BOLDNESS OF SPEECH.ā€Ā  This is how we are to talk now.Ā  This is how we receive from our Father.Ā  Any other kind of speech has become inappropriate!

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Heb 4:16

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus. — Heb 10:19

We learn that we are to approach God’s throne of grace with this same kind of boldness.Ā  The Word translated as ā€œboldnessā€ here literally means the following:

  • all outspokenness
  • freedom of speech
  • frankness
  • to be blunt

When it comes to receiving from God, I have discovered this:

The bolder, the better!Ā

The righteous are bold as a lion! (Prov 28:1)Ā  And what could be more right and more righteous than agreeing with what God has said about you!

When Hebrews 10:35 tells us ā€œdo not cast away your confidence, which has great rewardā€, the word ā€œconfidenceā€ here comes from that exact same word often translated as ā€œboldness.ā€Ā  In other words, we are not supposed to cast away our freedom of speech, our outspokenness, and frankness about what God has said to us and about us.Ā  We should become even more outspoken!

But, I want to close with this.Ā  Because we are not just talking about some sort of fleshly, loud-mouthed, arrogance here.Ā  We are talking about a godly boldness that is characteristic of genuine faith. Ā So where does our boldness come from?Ā  From where can we find real, heartfelt confidence to employ this kind of outspokenness?Ā  Here are three areas where I find the confidence to employ great boldness of speech.

  1. Knowing that God cannot lie. It is impossible for Him to lie. (Heb 6:18)Ā  There has not failed one word of all His good promise. (1Ki 8:56)Ā  God is not a man that He should lie, or the son of man that He should repent.Ā  If He has said it, He will do it! Ā If He has spoken, He will make it good! (Num 23:19)
  1. Knowing that God’s Words and promises are all blood-backed words. They are covenant words. Ā They are backed by the blood of the everlasting covenant. Ā We know that all the promises of God are yes and amen ā€œin Him.ā€ Ā That means they are ours through Christ and through His finished work of redemption on the cross. Ā And that redemption was blood bought! Ā ā€œIn Christ we have our redemption through His blood.ā€ (Eph 1:7)

By so much more Jesus has becomeĀ a suretyĀ of a better covenant. —Heb 7:22

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. —Heb 8:6

Jesus was raised from the dead, He offered His blood on God’s mercy seat for us, and then He was installed into His eternal high priestly ministry.Ā  AND HE IS NOW OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST.Ā  He is now the mediator and guarantee of the new covenant with all its better promises. (Heb 7:22; Heb 8:6)Ā

Part of Jesus’ ministry now is to ensure that you get what you believe Him for.Ā  He watches over His own word to perform it!Ā  This should give you confidence to open your mouth with boldness, and to do so ALL THE MORE!

  1. Ā Knowing that God said it FIRST. Ā

For He Himself has said, ā€œI will never leave you nor forsake you.ā€Ā  So we may boldly say:Ā  The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me.ā€Ā ā€”Heb 13:5-6

Did you see it here in this verse?Ā  God has said SO THAT we may boldly say.Ā  Perhaps nothing will give you greater boldness than knowing that you are saying what God said FIRST.Ā  In other words, this was HIS IDEA!Ā  If you are saying what God says you are on solid ground!Ā  Go ahead and crank up the volume and intensity!

So, my friend, regarding whatever path, whatever plan, or whatever promise that God has you pursuing, don’t back down.Ā  Instead, turn up the volume all the more!Ā  Don’t let up!Ā  Continue to pursue it even more!

I’m reminded of the lyrics to one of my favorite praise songsĀ ā€”Ā ā€œRaise a Hallelujah.ā€ I have changed the words slightly, but It goes something like this:

ā€œI’m gonna sing in the middle of the storm. LOUDER and LOUDER I’m gonna let my praises roar!Ā Ā
Up from within me faith will arise.Ā  Death is defeated, and the King is alive!Ā

Sing a little louder.Ā  Sing a little louder.ā€

That’s what the Lord is saying to you, mighty man or woman of valor.Ā  Cry out ALL THE MORE!Ā  Don’t let the enemy back you down.Ā  Don’t let him talk you out of what you have stepped out to lay hold of from God’s Word.Ā  Go ahead and sing a little louder!Ā  The bolder, the better!Ā  This is our receiving posture of faith!

With God nothing shall be impossible! (Lk 1:37)Ā  God is for you, who could be against you! (Rom 8:31)
